Digitals:
Headshot, smiling (a natural, genuine smile)
Headshot, neutral expression (relaxed, no smile)
Full-length shot (head to toe) or a three-quarter shot
Profile / side view (optional, but a nice one to include)
One "you" shot that shows personality and range
A few quick tips for great shots:
Stand against a white or neutral wall with nothing busy in the background.
Natural lighting is your best friend. Near a window or outside in soft daylight works beautifully.
Make sure the light is facing you, not behind you. If the light source is at your back, this creates shadows that change the way your face looks.
Keep it simple: minimal or no makeup, hair natural and out of your face, and a well-fitted basic outfit like jeans and a tank top or t-shirt (think solid colors, no busy patterns). No sunglasses and no accessories.
If you have professional portfolio headshots, please submit those in place of digitals. If you don't have professional headshots, these are the photos we and brands can work best with to see you clearly.

Children may be cast individually, with siblings, or as part of full family stories. We often cast families together, as authentic relationships create natural chemistry and storytelling that feels warm, and relatable on screen.

No. Clear, natural photos taken on a phone are perfectly fine. We just need to see your child or family clearly.

No. Joining The FAM is completely free. There are no fees to apply, no fees to be considered, and no fees tied to casting opportunities. We also do not take commissions from talent earnings.

The FAM is a Florida-based, non-exclusive casting agency specializing in families and children. We work directly with, and on behalf of, partner brands and production teams to cast talent on a project-by-project basis.
Unlike traditional talent agencies, we do not represent talent and do not charge fees or commissions. Our role is to bring the right families and children together with the right opportunities.

Great question! We help guide the process and make it easy for both brands and talent by advising on contracts, paperwork, and release requirements. The brand or production provides the official documents and signs directly with the talent, while we facilitate the process, coordinate paperwork, and keep everything running smoothly.

Opportunities vary based on current brand needs, casting requirements, and alignment with your family or child’s profile. We thoughtfully match families and children to each casting and reach out when there is a strong fit.

We work with children from infancy through 18 years old, as well as their parents for family-based casting opportunities. There are no specific age requirements for parents.

Parents are not required to participate in a shoot unless the casting calls for family involvement. However, minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian on set. Specific requirements may vary depending on the production and applicable child labor guidelines.

The FAM is based in South Florida. We regularly cast projects throughout Florida while also working with brands and talent nationwide.

No. We work with talent and brands across the country. For most local shoots, brands typically prefer talent within about three hours of their specified shoot location. If a project calls for regional or national casting, opportunities may be open to talent from anywhere.
